Rodrigo Rebouças de Almeida

Rodrigo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Exact Sciences at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), Brazil, where he has taught since 2014. He founded and leads AYTY, an applied software engineering lab that carries out research, training and solution development in close collaboration with industry.

In recent years I have worked with companies on digital transformation, business process improvement and better software development practices. I have led a range of industry projects that opened up research opportunities and trained more than 300 students. My research looks at how IT decisions can be improved when they are made from a business perspective — and every strand of that work is applied, directly or indirectly, with companies and with society at large.

Away from work, I cycle, chase a good cup of coffee, and play board games with family and friends. I am also an enthusiast of science in general. Teaching is a passion I have been practising for more than 25 years.

Do get in touch if there is any way I can help.

Modern board games

Playing and collecting modern board games is my hobby. In my spare time you will usually find me at the table with friends and family.

Here are the games I have played most recently (source: BoardGameGeek.com):
